When are You Going to Understand that Texas Holdem Poker is All About Position!

I have been wagering poker now for about five years, I have bet cards my entire life beginning with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various forms of Brag and general random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so eloquently called, card on head game. I used to often win, whatever game we were playing and even though I liked to call it skill, it was quite tough to justify considering the randomness of the games we were playing, so I was pleased to accept I was having a long run of good fortune.

Then came Poker, or far more importantly Hold em Poker, made popular by a group of Texas card players in the sixties and since grown into one of the largest card phenomena ever witnessed. Poker is absolutely the new black, it is uber awesome with many of the world’s leading celebrities racing to have their name connected with it. Just a quick scan through the TV channels these days and you are able to not escape from poker, and certainly there’s the fabled WSOP, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for each and every individual player.

So with all of this fresh discovered recognition, with so numerous Television shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with quality material written by the top minds on poker, when are people going to learn that this casino game is all about position!?

Perhaps I need to not get so worked up about this, after all the much more men and women who struggle with the delicate tactics and approaches required for succeeding regularly at Hold’em, the better it can be for everyone else, proper? I mean, if they can’t be bothered to read all of the offered info about why location is so important, why need to we bother? We need to just be happy there’s another fish at the table!

It’s true, we must not reward laziness with guidance and guide. Nonetheless, I liken this to a friendly game of football. Naturally the stakes aren’t so superior, but when you notice a gambler struggling, you aid them, provide them some advice, ultimately showing them a way to love, like and be grateful for the game as much as you. I am askin all home players to do the same thing with their poker friends who haven’t quite grasped the subtleties of betting position. Support them to grow their respect for the game. Naturally, don’t attempt to try this one in your local betting house, the sharks won’t appreciate you instructing their meal how to swim!
