Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may recall one of the largest pots in high stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. Gus secured a huge pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the greatest enthusiasts around the world. While gambling on online poker, a different side of Hansen has been seen. He frequently participates in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of $40, 000. Gus usually buys in for the minimum of $16, 000 and gambles very poorly. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then goes all-in. I know Gus is an excellent poker player but not even close to the everyday players at 200/400NL. Unless he is broke, he has absolutely no reason to sit at the table with the min buy in.

Buying in for the minimum takes a majority of the ability out of deep stack poker. Gus is supposed to be one of the best players in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. Gus can be seen participating in net poker on Full Tilt. He normally participates in high stakes Omaha and hold’em. Gus has shown himself as a competition player.
