Poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players attain five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a figure on par with the initial wager. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pays out cash equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• two to one for 2 pairs
• 3-1 for 3 of a kind
• four to one for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
• fifty to one for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
