No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer was born into in a family of five where he loved betting on different card games at a young age. He found himself becoming very aggressive in these card games as he was competing against his dad. After graduating from secondary school, Howard decided to put college on hold for a little while and moved away to New York to play some serious chess. While playing chess, he was introduced to a poker game going on in the rear of the room. Howard’s initial two years were rough as he played many hours and do not win a majority of the time. He made some additional cash by becoming an assistant for the poker players. He believed he might better his game by balancing his life away from poker. He made an attempt to acquire more sleep and focus attention even more on the game.

The real advancement in his game happened when he began wagering at the Mayfair Club in New York City. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the greatest players would frequently challenge one another. Howard had access into some of the best players in chess. With their assistance, he would tweak his cunning thinking skills. He applied these strategy ideas to the game of No-Limit texas hold’em.

He also helped his sibling Annie Duke learn the game of poker. She was a great student of the game as she constantly asked questions about the right way to make the proper choice. He told Annie Duke to move out to Sin City and play in the WSOP competition. Annie is one of the strongest female players the poker arena today. Howard relocated to Vegas in 1993 and participated in money games for the successive decade. When the World Poker Tournament gained popularity, Howard made the decision to participate in more tournaments.
