Internet poker has become globally famous lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players receive 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s value is akin to your original wager, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet comes the face off. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including an amount equal to the original bet. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays money equal to your ante and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

• Equal for a pair or high card
• 2-1 for two pairs
• 3-1 for three of a kind
• 4-1 for a straight
• 5-1 for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
• fifty to one for a straight flush
• 100-1 for a royal flush
