Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the west in a fantastic game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that players compete against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful people winning their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, rookies can take their time and scheme without needing to make hasty choices.

It is also easier to gamble on for an extended time with basically a tiny bit of cash seeing as, to lose, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards face up and the dealer is given seven cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
